हम हौसलों के ढर्जी है मुफ्त में उफू करते हैं।
हसरत से देखते हैं हम माज़ी को इस तरह,
जैसे के लौट आएंगे जो दिन गुज़र गए।
मुझको शर्मिंदा कर जाए, जब वो नज़र झुकाकर जाए,
मेरी बेटी सी इक लड़की, मुझसे क्यूँ घबरा कर जाए!
और सो लेने दो थोडा़ सा मेरी आँखों को,
बड़ी मुद्दत के कई ख़्वाब सजे हैं इनमें!
